On se tire la bourre avec une IA agressive mais plutôt cohérente et on apprécie la conduite survoltée -et encore perfectible- mais très sujette aux Sous ses dehors assez repoussants (graphismes 256 couleurs niais et gogols) destinés à singer les produits Nintendaube du genre, Joy Ride Turbo n'est pas si mauvais avec son action débridée sur les quelques pistes fantaisistes proposées. I would gladly pay for more but I doubt it will sale well enough to get them. The main problem with the game is there just isn't enough tracks. But it is the only way to get the upgrades.

It is a decent add to the game and a clever way to upgrade your vehicle but it gets a tad boring after a while. There is also 2 open world tracks for tricks and finding power ups. The cars are a little to hard to unlock and the game is way to easy til the last series of races.

Since you use your avatar if you have complaints about the driver than.well? Sorry. They do not ruin the game either so it is a trade off. They also do not seem to dictate who wins a race. Nothing really stands out and they do not have the glamour of a Mario Kart. The power ups are standard for these types of games. There a little on the short side and a few tracks are either way to cluttered in sections and one track is an actual raceway where you basically bounce off the wall but it is a good time none the less. I especially like the Chinese Dragon tracks. The courses are well designed with short cuts and decent variety. Somewhere along the line they changed their minds, giving us firstly a badly controlled Kinect version as a full retail release, and now charging 800 points for this new joypad friendly joyride. The biggest problem of course is that this should have been a free game, a gift from Microsoft with premium DLC content.
A separate stunt park mode also attempts to keep things interesting. All the usual game modes are here, from championships to time trials. The tracks are fun and interesting, and it's nice to see avatars put to good use. The biggest problem of course is that this should A fairly enjoyable Mario Kart clone for XBLA, but not as polished or rich in content as Nintendo's classic racer.
